Petra Billings is a Chartered Ecologist who has worked in conservation management in Sussex for nearly 25 years, first developing and delivering Countryside Management courses at Plumpton College and later managing a flagship landscape-scale conservation project for the Sussex Wildlife Trust.  In January 2016 she set up her own independent land management advisory business, Petra Billings Woodland Consultancy Ltd.  Petra has extensive experience of working with landowners, from estates to smallholders, advising on land management for wildlife, on agri-environment schemes and, in particular, on woodland management.

Petra offers a range of ecological services, specialising in writing Forestry Commission-approved woodland management plans, in developing Countryside Stewardship grant applications, in ecological surveys and in providing training courses for the countryside sector.  Her clients include many private landowners, local authorities and charities such as the National Trust.
